We wanted to create a small, yet powerful, direct marketing campaign as a self-promotion. We were looking to generate 50% open rate for appointments and land 3 new accounts.
STRATEGY: A custom box was created with a slogan on the front reading, “Sometimes a slice of…” inside the box the copy read, “Creativity is all it takes!” The target audience was 12 prospective marketing directors.
EXECUTION: The marketing piece, along with a medium cheese pizza was delivered with a personalized pizza cutter to the recipient at 11 am. A pizza was delivered each day for 12 consecutive days in order to follow up effectively.
RESULTS: The response rate was an amazing 100% and over $27,000 in new business! Additionally, the first year’s sales from these clients topped $100,000.
